NAWA opens calls for applications for Bekker and Ulam scholarship programmes

Bekker NAWA (Mieczysław Bekker Programme) and Ulam NAWA (Stanisław Ulam Programme) are programmes under which NAWA awards scholarships to individual scientists to support their international scientific projects. The call for applications is already open.

Bekker NAWA is addressed to doctoral students and researchers employed at Polish universities and Polish scientific and research institutes. In turn, Ulam NAWA is addressed to scientists with a scientific degree of at least a PhD working abroad (also Poles).

As dr Grażyna Żebrowska, NAWA director, emphasises, the announced programmes support the international mobility of Polish scientists and strengthen the internationalisation of our higher education and science. NAWA's Bekker Programme offers doctoral students and scientists who study or work at Polish scientific institutions the opportunity to go on scientific scholarship to the best academic and research centres around the world. In turn, the Ulam NAWA programme offers Polish universities and scientific and research institutes the opportunity to invite an outstanding foreign scientist to cooperate with them.
