For two more days, you can join a sporting and charity event organised by students from the University of Brest. The initiative is organised as part of the European Universities of the Sea - SEA-EU. Each kilometre run will contribute to the account of organisations working for the benefit of people with disabilities.
Employees of the UG Academic Sports Association and the UG Centre for Physical Education and Sport joined the charity event organised by students from the University of Brest. In the video below, they encourage everyone to support the initiative, from which all proceeds will go to the French associations Association des Paralysés de France (APF) and Handi'chiens (guide dog education association).
The aim of the cross-country team-building event "La Solidaire de Brest" is to engage students and staff of SEA-EU's partner universities in sporting activity. All you have to do is register as a participant in the event and between 12 and 17 April, cover as much distance as possible by running, marching or cycling. The task can be done alone or in small groups. During the run, remember to switch on any kilometre-counting application. After completing the activity, send a screenshot of the result by e-mail to seaeu.results@gmail.com. The organisers encourage you to post photos from "La Solidaire de Brest" on Instagram with #LaSolidairedeBrest.
Proceeds from the charity run depend on the total kilometres run and will go to the French associations Association des Paralysés de France (APF) and Handi'chiens (guide dog education association).
Participants must remember to bring a phone with a working app that records physical activity and to pre-register for the run at the link.
