The University Of Gdańsk Associate Professor, dr Hab. Michał R. Szymański Received The Foundation For Polish Science Equipement Grant

Dr hab. Michał R. Szymański won the internal competition among the FIRST Team grant awardees to receive over  PLN 480,000 funding. That money will allow for the purchase of the specialized Amersham Typhoon RGB Biomolecular Imager, equipped with fluorescence, radioactivity, densitometry and chemiluminescence detection modes.

Dr hab. Michał R. Szymański, University of Gdańsk Associate Professor,  is the Head of the Structural Biology Laboratory at the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology of the University of Gdansk and Medical University of Gdansk. His team carries out research projects on replication and repair of human, bacteria and virus DNA sponsored by: The Foundation for Polish Science (FNP), The National Science Center (NCN), European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) and European Research Council (ERC Starting Grant).

Currently, there is ongoing recruitment for those projects.
