OPUS 18 Project. UG being a leader of the consortium with MUG

Researchers from the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG and MUG and MUG Faculty of Pharmacy received funding of PLN 1.945.200,00 from the National Science Center to implement the project  ‘Ecological biochemistry of Pectobacterium - decoding of molecular interactions between bacteria and plants’. The funds were granted under the OPUS 18 funding scheme.

‘Ecological biochemistry of Pectobacterium - decoding of molecular interactions between bacteria and plants’ project by research consortium of the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG and MUG and MUG Faculty of Pharmacy received funding of PLN 1.945.200,00 for 2020-2024.

University of Gdańsk is the leader of the consortium, dr hab. Małgorzata Waleron, prof. UG from the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG and MUG is the manager of the project and dr hab. Krzysztof Waleron form the Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology coordinates the project on the Medical University of Gdańsk side.

Project will be financed under the OPUS 18 scheme by the National Science Center.

The project research is aimed at studying chemical basis of Pectobacterium bacteria impact on various plant species and also give insight into molecular mechanisms of those interactions.
