The proposal of SEA-EU FOR ALL, whose main novelty is the incorporation of 3 partners and of which the University of Cadiz continues to be the coordinator, has been positively evaluated obtaining the support and funding of the European Commission.
Today the results of the call for the renewal of Partnerships belonging to the European Universities initiative has been published. SEA-EU has achieved the renewal with a budget of 14 mln €, which is a success for the whole consortium, now officially formed by 9 universities: the University of Cadiz, which continues as coordinator, the University of Western Brittany (France), the University of Kiel (Germany), the University of Gdansk (Poland), the University of Split (Croatia), the University of Malta, and the new incorporations, the University of Algarve (Portugal), the University of Naples Parthenope (Italy) and the Nord University (Norway).
- We are delighted that we will continue to work towards a new model of education and academic exchange. Our actions will increase the competitiveness of European higher education, ensure the mobility of students and staff, and guarantee the highest quality of research. We are proud to create the European University of the Seas, as it is undoubtedly the future of education - comments the project manager and Vice-Rector for International Cooperation prof. The European University of the Seas (SEA-EU) has managed to renew this seal and funding through its proposal entitled "SEA-EU FOR ALL", an evolution of what the Alliance has been developing in its first three years of life since 2019, when it embarked on the path towards a transformation in Higher Education through a super Campus formed so far by 6 universities. This transnational campus, now with 9 universities and more than 20 cities involved, hosts more than 150,000 students and 18,000 employees who will benefit from the objectives that are at the heart of this proposal. More mobility for all, inclusion, multilingualism and personal and professional development on demand thanks to a wide range of shared resources.
- The fact that the European Commission has recognised our efforts, hard work and extended the SEA-EU project is a huge success for our entire community. We are excited that 4 years of working together are ahead of us. Our goal is ambitious, but we know that together we will build the university of the future - emphasises the Rector of the University of Gdansk prof. Piotr Stepnowski.
