Kashubology lectures - summary of the series

With the end of 2022, the series of ten interdisciplinary online Kashubian lectures at the Faculty of Philology entitled 'Understanding Kashuby. In the circle of basic scientific and social issues'. They introduced the audience to the history and culture of Kashuby that distinguish Kashubia and Kashubians.

The series was conducted as part of an inter-university lecture offer - for students of the University of Gdańsk and Gdańsk University of Technology. Twenty-three students from both universities were introduced to the cultural and historical aspects of the lecture in the winter term 2022/23. In contrast, up to 50 people attended the Monday meetings each week.

A graphic design by Małgorzata Walasek, a third-year Kashubian ethno-philology student, also refers to the main theme of the series,

'It depicts a snuff-box made of a horn and a traditional red men's handkerchief in polka dots used by Kashubians after snuffing,' - informs dr Justyna Pomierska, project coordinator and chair of the Kashubian Ethnophilology programme board.
