Mgr Wojciech Oleszkiewcz - an employee of the Centre for Physical Education and Sport at the University of Gdańsk and coach of the women's basketball and snowboard sections - received a medal for his contribution to sport from Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, Mayor of the City of Gdańsk.

Coach Wojciech Oleszkiewcz has been involved in sports at the University of Gdańsk and the City of Gdańsk for many years. He is currently the deputy director of the WFiS Centre. He was the originator and co-founder of the women's basketball league team, which still plays on the courts of the first league. He is currently in charge of the men's basketball section of AZS University of Gdańsk, which successfully competes in academic games. Last year, the UG basketball players under coach Wojciech Oleszkiewicz won bronze medals at the Polish Academic Championships for Universities. The second section led by the coach is snowboarding. Our students were also very successful in this discipline.
