University of Gdańsk players won gold medals in the university classification and bronze medals in the overall classification at the Polish Academic Tennis Championships held in Krakow last weekend.
Students of the University of Gdańsk defeated the University of Warsaw (2:0), the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice (2:0), and the Rzeszów University of Technology (2:1) in the group stage, advancing to the next round from first place.
In the quarter-finals, our team defeated the Medical University of Łódź (2:0), and then in the semi-finals had to acknowledge the superiority of ALK Warsaw.
In the match for third place, the charges of Coach Hanna Wesołowska-Szprada once again played against the University of Warsaw and once again won. The win against UW meant that our team won bronze medals in the general classification and, at the same time, gold medals in the university classification.
