The AZS UG Women Basketball Team got a historic win in Energa Basket Liga Kobiet League (Women Basketball First Division). Our team, coached by Mirosław Orczyk, defeated Wisła Kraków team 71:60 (22:13, 10:15, 17:13, 22:19) in Hala Stulecia Sopotu (Sopot Centennial Arena). Olga Frolkina (19 pts) and Tierra Ruffin-Pratt (22 pts) were the leading scorers of AZS UG. Our team took an early, first quarter, lead and held on to it throughout the whole game, defeating the favorites, Wisła Kraków. AZS UG also came close to wins in their two previous games, but eventually narrowly lost against AZS UMCS Lublin (79:83) and  Politechnika Gdańska (70:73). Saturday evening brought us the long-awaited win, that still gives us some chance of staying in the First Division.

AZS UG goes to Wrocław for their next game to play against the local team Ślęza, on 29 February 2020. But right now we invite you to come and support our team during the next game taking place in Sopot, on 4 March 2020 at 7:00pm, against AZS Enea Poznań.
