UG students with scholarships from the Minister of Science

Paweł Golonko, Szymon Jaskulski and Jędrzej Michalik are UG students who received scholarships from the Minister of Science and Higher Education this year. All laureates were recognised for their significant scientific or artistic achievements; each will receive PLN 17,000.

Students from all over Poland competed for the scholarships - each could submit achievements in a particular scientific or artistic discipline, as well as sporting achievements. The distinctions were awarded by an advisory panel comprising experts representing all evaluated fields.

UG students were awarded in the following disciplines:

  • Paweł Golonko as a student of Film Knowledge and Audiovisual Culture was awarded a scholarship for his achievements in the discipline of Film and Theatre Arts;
  • Szymon Jaskulski as a student of Spatial Management received a scholarship for achievements in the discipline of socio-economic geography and spatial management;
  • Jędrzej Michalik, a student of Logopaedics, received a scholarship for his achievements in linguistics.

It is worth mentioning that the scholarship winners also include Mateusz Michalski, a graduate of the University of Gdańsk, who is currently studying at the Jagiellonian University. The laureate is still affiliated with our university as the secretary of the journal 'Jednak Książki', published by the Institute of Polish Philology of the UG. The UG graduate is currently a student of Anthropological and Cultural Polish Studies and received the scholarship for his achievements in the discipline of Polish Studies.

Congratulations to all laureates!
