We sadly inform you that prof. dr hab Andrzej Hieronim Stępniak passed away on 19 December 2019.

As an academic teacher and scientist he inspired students and people he encountered, with his knowledge and passion for European integration. He was the creator and the longtime Head of the European Integration Research Center, as well as the founder and the President of the Polish Association of European Community Research PECSA. Lectures from the Professor were more than strictly transfers of knowledge, they were stories of integration processes in the EU, based on his great experience and imagination. Professor Andrzej Hieronim Stępniak was greatly appreciated for his lectures, but also, not less importantly, for for his warm disposition, sense of humor and passion. The Man with the Big Heart is gone.
