We are looking for a research assistant to work in the International Centre for Cancer Vaccine Science (ICCVS) hosted by the University of Gdańsk. The position is offered in the frame of the project No. 2024/ABM/03/KPO/KPOD.07.07-IW.07-0096/24 entitled: “NSCLC Diagnostics - Algoritm (DiaNA)". The project is funded by the Agency for Medical Research in the frame of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan Component D Efficiency, accessibility, and quality of the healthcare system Investment D3.1.1. Complex development of research in medical science and healthcare.
Key responsibilities include:
Participation in the implementation of the R&D tasks in the frame of the DiaNA project, including:
- preparation of samples for flow cytometry analysis,
- flow cytometric analysis,
- quality control of sample analyses and cytometer operation.
Requirements:
- Master degree in biological science, medical science, biotechnology or related (or equivalent)
- Experience in cell isolation.
- Knowledge in flow cytometry including compensation, building multicolor panels, sample preparation and use of flow cytometer
- Experience in flow cytometry data analysis (experience in using Diva, FlowJo software and others)- nice to have.
- Experience in cell sorting – nice to have.
- Experience in PBMC isolation, cell culture and basic techniques associated with cell culture, eg. media preparation, freezing, thawing the cells etc.).
- Good written, oral communication and presentation skills.
- Good knowledge of English.
